For Always With Smoothie for Papercraft Star

Time to play with Close to My Heart's For Always paper pack and another color of cardstock. This week's choice is Smoothie.  The theme for this week's Papercraft Star challenge just happens to be Seeds/Garden which fits nicely with the floral pattern and one of my favorite stamp sets, Cherished Flourishes.  I stamped the image with Black pigment ink, heat embossed it with clear detail powder and then embellished it using the new pink glitter gems.  Here is a close up of the flower:

The minute I saw the theme involved a garden I thought of this sentiment from the Blessed stamp set:

This card is for my grandmother who I don't get to see very often since she retired to Maine and enjoys gardening as much as I do.  Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time, Hansi

Materials used, all from Close to My Heart unless otherwise noted:

Ink:  Black dye based and pigment inks, Slate

  5. What a beautiful card, Hansi! I love the dimensional flowers you create--remind me again what key on which Cricut cartridge you use for them? Smoothie is not a colour I reach for often, as its kinda BRIGHT, but setting it with the classic and lovely For Always paper softens it really nicely. That beautiful paper was also the inspiration for the embossed black flourish, i bet.
